Michael Crowe

My name is Michael D Crowe. Please allow me to tell you a little bit about myself.

From a young age I always enjoyed working with a hammer and saw. I built many “forts” in my backyard as I grew up. My forts were usually made of scraps from construction sites all across town. I can recall riding the bus to school and actively looking out the bus window for new homes being built. After school I would ride my bicycle to the jobsite and precariously ride home with scraps of lumber in my hands. I remember one time hitting the construction pile “jackpot.” There was a new motel being built in town and I was salivating over the scrap pile. My mother was kind enough to take me, load up the trunk as much as we could, and then drive home. I can’t remember how many trips we took- but it was quite a few! Thanks Mom!

When it came time for high school, I jumped at the opportunity to attend a vocational school. The idea of spending one school week in academics and then the next in the Carpentry Shop was my idea of school! I graduated from Cape Cod Tech over 20 years ago with the rarely awarded Golden Hammer!

In 1996 I passed my contractor exam for the state of Massachusetts. In 2003 I received my state of Florida contracting license after passing one of the most rigorous and intensive exams in the country. In 2009 I received my Georgia contractor license after sitting for the newly instituted exam for Georgia builders.

I have worked on every aspect of home construction and remodeling. I have poured concrete, framed large complex structures, ran electrical wiring, installed plumbing systems, put the roofing on, installed the finish cabinetry, etc., etc. The list goes on. But I have found nothing more rewarding than building custom wine cellars.
